The designers' office
The designers’ office is a space of information, training, exchanges and exhibitions dedicated to the companies of design and institutions for the presentation of their actions and their current affairs (toward design).
The designers’ office is an open space in the Agora of the Platine and an online site on the Cité du design’s website.
Resource space, general information necessary for the activity of designers will be available there:
• competition, call for entries, position announcement, the 1%, etc.
• Advertisement on conferences, events and exhibitions, the referencing of diffusion places (vacant spaces, lounges, galleries, etc.)
• Permanence assured by professionals on problematic linked to the development of design companies, steps of company’s creation, legal questions, Intellectual protections, status, etc.
• Assistance on job research, advices to make a CV and the conception of photo book, advertisements for position available on a regional, national and international scale.
Exhibition showroom: exhibition of the designers’ current events, booklets, publication, photo book, results of request for proposal, prototypes, products, design directories, websites, e-books, etc. Convivial modular space: it allows the networks of creators, industrials, the institutions, the students and the concerned publics to meet each other and exchange constantly during scheduled moments (reservation of areas and scheduling managed by La Cité du design).

• the association of designers: Collective Designers+, FEDI (Designers’ federation), the Designers of Savoie, the French Association of Designers (AFD), the Village des créateurs (Lyon), etc.
• the companies of personal design: agencies, independent, integrated designed,etc.
The protagonists who intervene in partnership with the Cité du design for their general current affairs and the one linked with design:
• regional institutions: Saint-Etienne/ Montbrison Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (example: design in trade), CCI Training, General Council of Loire (ex: design concept call for entries), ADEL ( agency for the development of Loire), CIRIDD (International centre of resources for the sustainable development), Eco Conception centre; CEEI (European centre of company and innovation) Loire, ZOOMACOM, RATICE Loire
(coordination network of Technologies, Information and Pedagogic Communication), etc.
• the associations of actions toward employment: the Boris Vian complex, ANPE (National Agency for Employment), the Association Partage/Sharing (shared employment platform, group of employers in Forez), etc.
• The National and international institutions: ministries, the European Union, UNESCO (call for entries), ADEME (agency for the environment and the control of energy), etc.
