Marion and Raphaël have created unusual machines that come to life through mechanisms activated by visitors.
Leather fringes, straps and laces are set in motion, inviting play, sensory exploration and hands-on interaction.
Their work explores and reveals the possibilities offered by objects and materials, through experiences at the intersection of art, science and design.
Invited by the City of Graulhet and Le Lait art centre to undertake a residency with Graulhet’s leather industry, Pinaffo & Pluvinage have been working with member companies of Graulhet Le Cuir since October 2025, with the support of the French Ministry of Culture’s “Art et mondes du travail” programme.
Born in 1987 and 1986 respectively, Marion Pinaffo and Raphaël Pluvinage met in 2013 while studying at ENSCI-Les Ateliers. Since then, they have worked as a duo, combining commissions for cultural institutions and brands with more personal projects.
