The Cité du design - Ecole supérieure d'art et design has been designated as an official partner of the European initiative New European Bauhaus, which aims to imagine and build together a sustainable, inclusive and aesthetic future.
The New European Bauhaus is a creative and interdisciplinary initiative, a meeting place for designing future ways of living, at the crossroads between art, culture, social inclusion, science and technology. It helps to bring the Green Deal closer to our living spaces and calls for a collective effort.
It is the first time that an initiative of this scale has been kicked off in Europe with an extensive co-design phase to give voice to everyone who wish to contribute to the construction of this common project.
The official partners - networks, associations and organisations - commit themselves to act as promoters and key interlocutors of the New European Bauhaus. They support the initiative by :
- gathering a diversity of professionals from across disciplines to generate ideas
- identifying inspirational projects, practices or concepts
- engaging with citizens to discuss and collect needs and expectations
