With Le Crêt de Cerf, her graduation project, Louna Fellot-Biard takes us deep into the Beaujolais region, to a small hill on the edge of the Pierre-Filant forest. Both a refuge for contemplation and a witness to the vulnerability of forest ecosystems, this landscape is undergoing profound change as its larch trees gradually die.
Moving through an installation of large-scale works on paper, photographic documents and wooden seating, visitors are invited to reflect on our relationship with forests and the transformations they are experiencing. Bringing together theoretical research and artistic experimentation, Louna’s project examines the impact of the timber and product design industries on these environments, while making space for observation, immersion and contemplation.
Le Crêt de Cerf offers a sensory experience as much as a reflection on the ways we inhabit and use forests. An invitation to slow down, to see trees differently and, perhaps, to reconsider what it means to live alongside them.

Louna Fellot-Biard is an artist and designer who graduated in June 2026 from the ACDC_Espaces pathway at the École supérieure d’art et design de Saint-Étienne.
Having grown up surrounded by a small forest in France, she has developed a sensitive and experimental practice exploring the relationships between human societies and forest environments.
In Le Crêt de Cerf, her graduation project, she explores the concept of “malforestation”, which describes the transformations, vulnerabilities and pressures affecting forests today.
Saint-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design trains the artists and designers of tomorrow. The close relationship between teaching and hands-on practice in the workshops places an emphasis on “making”, giving Ésad Saint-Étienne a unique position within the network of art schools.
“La Bulle” is a space dedicated to showcasing the diverse work of the school’s students and alumni and making it accessible to a wider audience. Its programme highlights the school’s different approaches to teaching, from the preparatory course through to degree projects, as well as workshops.
