This 10th Anniversary is an opportunity to express Saint-Etienne's pride in being the only French city of design in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network since 2010.
During these 10 years, Saint-Etienne has participated dynamically in the activities organized by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and has shown itself to be a force for proposals. Saint-Etienne is a city in mutation that has adopted design as an agent of transformation of the living environment and as a lever for the economic development of its territory.
The expertise and activities of the Cité du design and the Higher School of Art and Design Saint-Étienne have largely contributed to the designation of Saint-Étienne as a UNESCO City of Design.
The Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne is certainly the major event that highlights the actions of the UNESCO City of Design Network.
